JCU Executive Team - 2026

PRESIDENT

Ewa oversees club operations, manages the executive team, and organizes partnerships, speakers, and field activities for the club and its members.

VICE PRESIDENT

Chloe oversees internal operations and logistics, organises speakers for club events, coordinates field trips, and assists in managing the executive team.

SECRETARY

Makayla is in charge of recording minutes from each meeting, preparing documents, and assisting in managing club logistics.

TREASURER

Ella performs the financial management tasks, including financial record keeping, planning and budgeting, monitoring and reporting.

SOCIAL EVENT COORDINATOR

Olivia is responsible for creating opportunities for club members to mingle and engage with one another in a fun and casual environment outside of the school setting through the coordination of social events.

RETAIL & WEBSITE MANAGER

Ian is responsible for updating the website, publishing trips, events, volunteer opportunities and other links of interest regularly. As well as, organising opportunities to sell and create new merchandise for events.

FIELD TRIP COORDINATOR

Andrea is responsible organising and executing field trips for club members with the goal of giving small groups hands on experiences in the field of elasmobranch science.

Social Media Manager

Kerry creates an online presence by creating engaging digital content that reflects the club’s mission and values, promoting events and volunteer/research opportunities.

Education Coordinator

Maria is responsible for managing and supporting The FINstitute’s education and public outreach initiatives. Focusing on building meaningful education partnerships, coordinating school-based outreach, and promoting shark and ray science through engaging, accurate educational activities.
