JCU Executive Team - 2025

PRESIDENT

Kiesha oversees club operations, manages the executive team, and organizes partnerships, speakers, and field activities for the club and its members.

VICE PRESIDENT / SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Laura oversees internal operations and logistics, organises speakers for club events, coordinates field trips, and assists in managing the executive team. Creates an engaging online presence, promoting events, and volunteer / research opportunities.

SECRETARY

Amaya is in charge of recording minutes from each meeting, preparing documents, and assisting in managing club logistics.

TREASURER

Ewa performs the financial management tasks, including financial record keeping, planning and budgeting, monitoring and reporting.

SOCIAL EVENT COORDINATOR

Emma is responsible for creating opportunities for club members to mingle and engage with one another in a fun and casual environment outside of the school setting through the coordination of social events.

RETAIL & WEBSITE MANAGER

Responsible for updating the website, publishing trips, events, volunteer opportunities and other links of interest regularly. As well as, organising opportunities to sell and create new merchandise for events.

FIELD TRIP COORDINATOR

Alexa is responsible organising and executing field trips for club members with the goal of giving small groups hands on experiences in the field of elasmobranch science.

EXECUTIVE ADVISOR

Liat provides the executive team with guidance on the running of the club, helping build connections with speakers, and aiding in the planning of field trips.

GRADUATE RESEARCH CONSULTANT

Aaron provides mentorship and research guidance to club members by giving guest talks and conducting peer reviews for club -based projects
