🌊 Save The Waves Film Festival returns! 🎬
The world’s only international surf and environmental film festival is back for its 2025 tour!

Join us in Townsville on Friday, September 26 at Joe Baker Field from 6 PM - 10 PM for an open-air ocean cinema experience like no other. We'll be screening a selection of powerful short films from around the world — all celebrating waves, coastlines, and the communities working to protect them.

The Save The Waves Film Festival combines stunning surf and conservation storytelling to support global efforts to protect critical surf ecosystems. Each stop on the tour raises funds for local environmental action — and here in Townsville, all proceeds will go toward shark conservation.
